Fixing capitalism on the government level. Curious what you guys might think.

People are saying Capitalism has failed in America, but that’s only because the ones that are supposed to be policing it (the government) are being payed off. So what if the decision makers in government didn’t get a wage but rather a card that charges a government account directly (audited constantly and set within reasonable limits). And with that set up you basically freeze all their accounts and make it highly illegal to even have money transactions. Then when they leave office they get a reasonable yet scalable severance based on how long they served with regular audits for the rest of their lives (something to avoid taking a line of credit from companies to be payed off after leaving office). I think this would really help, if not solve, the massive corruption problem in this country. What do you guys think? I’m genuinely curious if this subreddit can come…

What do you guys think? I’m genuinely curious if this subreddit can come up with a real solution.

Note: I know some will suggest making them live on minimum wage while in office, and I see the merits in that but I do find it somewhat unrealistic.
