Everywhere I asked said that this shouldn't affect me and my job offer. But the new boss said we need to wait for the old boss and his lawyers to respond. I offered to get my own lawyer and he said not yet.
I wish I knew more as to why this is even an issue. But instead I'm staying home and trying not to spend money while stressing out that I might have to start from zero in finding a new job. But I don't even know if I should be looking or just waiting?
If I need my own lawyer, do I go to the EEOC or a regular one who specializes in employment?
