As the title says, I’m being forced to take Columbus/indigenous peoples’ day off as either a floating holiday (we have 3 we can typically use) or if we don’t have any left, PTO. My company is based in RI where the floating holiday is observed, but I am permanently work from home (it’s written into my contract.) I was told I had to take it off while my counterparts in MA only have it as optional.
