While im looking for my dream job, if it’s even out there, I’ve come up with a good process.
When I click apply and it takes me to another website I always upload my CV. However one thing that really annoys me is when you upload your CV and then it takes you through countless forms detailing your job history and skills and even more dumb shit.
How hard is it for someone to read a CV? Fuck, I think they have software that just scans your CV for raw data anyway. It’s not that I’m lazy, I have no issues with writing a cover letter or anything. I just think it’s stupid and a waste of time.
If a company can’t even be bothered to read your information properly and want you to break it down, fuck them. Why is it worth my time to apply if they can’t even invest time in me in the beginning?
Not sure if anyone shares the same opinion or has valid reasoning on this but just thought I’d share.
