From a struggling 21 year old in the working class “screw the system, and everyone who made it.”

In this post I’m goin to address why the younger generations are fighting the good fight right now, and why we’re over the current system we’re in. I’m hoping this post empowers those in the younger generations, and opens the older generation’s eyes to the issues we currently face. I’m going to start off by saying, as a 21 year old living in 2022 it is extremely difficult to get ahead right now. As days go on it becomes less and less forgiving to make any sort of mistakes. Which is essential for growth. Without failure there is no success unless you’re perfect. We’re in a housing crisis, recession, mental health crisis, job crisis, and those are just a few. If you’re between the ages of 18-25 even a little older and you by some chance find a reason to get out of bed, you’re instantly met with over inflated prices across the board which you rely on your full time job to pay for. Plot twist, that job barely does that. So then you gotta take up a second job which leaves no work life balance to tend to yourself and your needs. What is the point in working if it prevents you from truly being able to live? God forbid you tell your parents or anyone 40+ years old. They’ll be quick to tell you to suck it up, and that it really can’t be that bad. Trust me it is. That’s why the majority of our generation is in therapy. We’re met right now with older business owners who exploit us for financial gain, a government that’s lead by a bunch of old people that should be in retirement taking away our rights by the day. I’m absolutely over how out of touch they all are with current reality. So out of touch to gaslight us into thinking our reality doesn’t exist because they aren’t feeling the effects of it. Of course they want us all to work, because if we didn’t we wouldn’t be spending or paying taxes. Without that no social security for them to be happy in retirement. Their retirement is solely dependent on how things go with the younger generations. If we stop buying houses, the value of their property drops, we stop paying taxes and working, they won’t get social security. Don’t even get me started on their retirement accounts that they get dividends from. If the younger gen stopped investing their portfolios would tank. Although this is all true, most of them will be quick to say we’re the problem when we’re keeping everything afloat. This whole system is a fucking joke that promotes hard workers to get exploited. Remember where the true power lies everyone. It’s with the hard working class, not the sellouts, con men, or corrupt politicians. That goes for all of em, young and old. This is on behalf of all my friends and family who struggle everyday because of you. We’re not afraid of you, and we will take that power from you. Keep fighting the good fight everyone.
