I live in a state (AZ) where weed is fully legal however the state law is not clear in the fact it is not a protect substance (like in IL). Many employers in my state do not prohibit out of work place weed use. I have asked my employer through an anonymous email to clarify our drug policy and testing. I am basically getting the run around saying they are not changing their policies and they reserve the right to have a drug free policy.
All I’m trying to find out is will I get fired if I smoke on the weekends. But I don’t want to question this publicly in fear of the negative effects it could have. What I do on my time is my business.
