Back in April I landed a job in my dream field with a good salary. I’ve been wanting to get into this field for a good couple of years ever since I graduated college. It’s one of those jobs where the training isn’t that great and feels rushed. As a result I’ve been having a rough patch at work. Today I got in trouble with my boss because I did the process wrong involving giving system access to people which I haven’t done since my first couple of weeks at my job. I also got in trouble from doing a task given to me by another colleague from yesterday. Basically my job uses box to house documents and to do a task related to our job we have to go into box to get a document that has instructions on how to do the task. I followed the instructions to a tee but my colleague that gave me the task told me that I did the process wrong even though the instructions told me to do it that way. Rewind a couple weeks ago my boss gave me 2 tasks spread out without giving much direction on how to do the task and I got in trouble for those as tasks as well. At this point I feel that I’m done with this job it’s so much to it and so many processes and I feel like I’m not getting it. It sucks cuz I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for a while and if I go to look for another job I’m afraid that I’ll look like a job hopper. I have gaps in my resume and the longest I’ve had a job was a year. I know it’s up to me and no one can tell me what to do, but should I just follow my instincts or try to ride this out?
