Guitar Center is the WORST company I've ever worked for. This company wrote me up for missing work when my mother passed away, again for when I had covid, more times when I had to rush my wife into labor and delivery since she was high risk for pre-eclampsia during our pregnancy. Then the SECOND I get back from paternity leave they fire me saying “I missed too many days” and “there is nothing we can do.” That's just a fraction of what they have done. I was harassed and called “a fucking r—-d” by my supervisor, when taken to upper management I was told “that doesn't sound like him at all” and never got resolved. After explaining that my son could possibly be born early due to pre-eclampsia I was told “Well you better hope he stays in.” This company is absolutely toxic. I don't understand how I as an employee was able to be treated so fucking horribly. I was also told to choose between my sons birth or my job and that all of that is my personal life that they do not care about and I should leave it at home (which I have on audio recording.) They also refuse to fill out a work release form which I need to get my son on medicaid.
