I've been working at this job on and off for over 5 years. Sometimes full time, others part time.
I've got literal keys, manage the entire online presence, all IT, handle all daily repair tasks, answer phones when I'm in the office, and much more. I have decades of experience in leading teams of people in various industries and a wide set of skills.
Since giving my two weeks' notice late last week, no manager has mentioned anything about it to me. No meeting, phone call, memo, email, nothing. No list of desires or goals for my short time left, no questions, not even a statement to GTFO.
In my time here I've never been written up, given a progress report, evaluation, review, or anything of the sort. My infrequent raises have all been upon request.
This is emblematic of the primary reason I can't work here any more: complete lack of proper management, direction, goals, or expectations. It's staggering.
Here's to hoping for something better around the bend. Until then I'll be working I9 construction and trying to get my own business off the ground.
