I work for a smaller nonprofit and I have seen 4 people so far get fired. I live in an at will state, and they sure are taking advantage of that. Basically anytime any questions the process or vocalize thoughts that the place isn’t perfect, they get fired and walked out the door. Ask for transparency, fired. With a Union they would at least have a voice behind them. No one is willing to talk about anything because…. Bills need to be paid.
How do I get the ball rolling for a Union? Is there an employee minimum?
