I started a job about six weeks ago. Upon agreeing to take the job I was told that the manager was going to be with me for my first week during every shift to help train me. Every single day during the first week that I showed up I asked coworkers where she was and she was not there. And they told me that they would be helping me learn how to do everything. So I was confused. So basically they were asking the other employees to train me and show me shut but they weren’t getting paid to do so…. Soooo they didn’t give a F and I didn’t learn shit.
So every time I did something wrong(bc I had to figure everything out myself) I was reprimanded.
I was pissed about all this but got
Over it since the pay is amazing and I make my own schedule. So then I started to notice many unsettling things. Like the dirty and clean items(that touch people) stored in the same small closet with the garbage and peoples bags, coats and peoples opened food… ohhhh and mouse traps !!
They also have method brand bottles they use but pour a toxic chemical to clean the equipment… but do not label the bottles. So I talked to the manager about all of the above. I told her about how if osha came in here they would shut that place down real fast. There’s sooooo much more and I have been taking photos and videos of all this stuff. For a week There’s been peanut butter opened in a container that holds all sorts of things and there’s mouse poop in it. I refuse to touch this. I just keep taking pics. Today I got written up for being late. Haha!!! What a joke.
Should I call osha? Report to DOL?
