I work in Human Resources. HR is technically here to protect the company, but the other part of our job is to protect our employees and make the company the best it can be!!! I know some companies make the hr process difficult, but I ALWAYS recommend reporting toxic management. The last thing any company needs is management that doesn’t support the success of their people. You should definitely keep a record of any and all issues that arise and report them. IF YOU PLAN TO LEAVE YOUR COMPANY, KEEP A RECORD OF ALL INCIDENTS (dates and times) AND REPORT IT!! Then, ASK FOR A COPY OF YOUR PERSONNEL FILE! (They have to keep it for 7 years) and if you have a case, TAKE IT TO A LAYWER!!
Companies will pay you out, it may take a minute, but they never want to look bad and by you reporting issues, you’ll make the company a better place to work for future employees. You have every right to leave a toxic workplace, but make sure you look out for yourself by getting your bag when you leave.
