I went on mat leave 13 months ago and now have to return to work in order to qualify for benefits again, as I'm expecting baby 2 in 5 months.
I should have been promoted after my last role, but they got rid of my role while I was on leave. Now they're offering me a role which is frankly shitty, and feels like a demotion.
I shouldn't feel like my career projectory is suffering because I chose to have children. I'm very much career oriented and can manage being a high performer and a mom.
I keep coming back to the idea that I need to start my own business. The corporate world sucks no matter now you look at it.
