Unless I have a doctor note stating I can only work 40 hours per week. I have epilepsy and FMLA, so its not out of the realm of possibility that I could get this note from my neurologist. But it got me thinking, if I have to have a note that states I can only work 40 hours per week, why wouldn't I get one that states I can only work 32 hours per week? So when I had my meeting with my supervisor I asked her that same question. Her response was “…well, I dont know.”
So when I see my Neurologist in a few weeks, i'm going to have her right me a note stating just that, 32 hours per week max. So my employer, who says everyone in the department has to work a minimum of 8 hours overtime per week to meet production, is now going to be giving up an additional 8 hours of production from me instead of just giving up the overtime hours.
