Everyone at my workplace is miserable and wants to quit. We're underpaid not only from a labor theory of value perspective but also just relative to other jobs in the area. There's a McDonald's across the street and we'd all get pay increases if we just went and worked there (not to shit on McDonald's workers they deserve every dollar and more).
I work in a rural and extremely conservative part of Oregon so the word “union” is a bit of a taboo but I'm just gonna start hyping up unions to try and change their minds. Try and convince them that quitting isn't better than organizing. Everyone likes the job we do (I work with animals) but the pay and work culture suck.
