A co-worker showed me child porn, I reported it to HR, co-worker still employed and Today I was laid off because productivity is “slow”.

So this just happened today. About a month ago, a co-worker asked me if I wanted to watch a video of children having sex. He’s not from the US and English is his second language so I wasn’t sure if his translation was off. So I asked if it was teenagers (18+) and he said no. I was stunned and told him no. But I couldn’t shake the thought of someone possibly having child porn in their possession and I didn’t want to make a false report, so I asked him what video he wanted to show me. He shows me and I can confirmed it was. I reported him to HR and they talked to him and made him take sexual harassment training. Cue to today I am laid off because work is “slow” and he is still currently employed. Edit: heading to the authorities right now right now.…

Edit: heading to the authorities right now right now.

Edit 2: for all the people that are insulting me, I wasn’t mentally prepared for what I had seen and I didn’t know what to do. I’d figured HR would handle it better. I guess not. So call me an idiot, yes.
