Manager called me in this morning to give me my first 3-month performance report. She tells me how thankful she is that the department has been keeping up and has actually been outperforming since I joined, how I've helped “clean up” the task flow for everyone else and also reaching out to some off my co-workers when they needed help. I even get calls from coworkers at other departments telling me how much better my department has been running since I joined. My manager even described me as “above and beyond” and “Overqualified” when it came to my work and claims that both her and my supervisor wanted to give me a 5 out of 5 on my report. But since I was the newest, and to humble everyone else, I had to be given a 3 out of 5 and the report would be sent to HR for further evaluation.
I've been busting my ass at work every day and pulling twice my weight most days literally as I've averaging 50-60hrs a week. So now HR is going to see me as a “just met standards” employee and would probably ask that I stop taking overtime and just cram all of my work in the regular 40hr workweek just for $16 an hour.
F*ck upper management. If I'm ever in a management position I'll give everyone what they deserve and not what management and HR thinks they should have.
