This last Friday I had a really great phone interview for a job that was the right combination of everything I did in my past. We vibed really well. Lots of “good answers” to my responses.
Later I get an email from the recruiter who threw out a time for a zoom interview with the hiring manager. I emailed her back right away as the time mentioned didn’t work as I’d be traveling.
After not hearing back from her I chalked it up to being Friday and the end of the day.
Monday rolls around and I don’t hear anything all day. So I sent her a text (she told me to if I had any questions). No response.
Finally on Tuesday she responds to my email.
Hope you had a nice weekend. I received your text yesterday, but I was out of the office unexpectedly. I was able to get an update from the team and they have decided to go in a different direction with this position and not interview any more candidates. With this information, I want to be respectful and not waste your time. If things change, I will definitely reach out to you. Good luck in your job search!
