All I (21F) can say is what I thought things was going well, it hit left field. I get called in and I’m told that “we’re letting you go because you don’t seem interested.” No other reason just look uninterested. I respond “oh? I can assure you that I am. I’ve been listening and taking in the task that have been given to me, the company has been slow. So I understand that there isn’t much to work with right now.” They don’t really budge with my response and say “well we’ve discussed beforehand by others, not everyone but it’s something that’s already been decided. I wish you best of luck.” Regardless, I don’t fight for my position because it’s not worth explaining to someone who will not take the time to understand who I am as an individual and how I operate within the workplace. They had discussed my termination that same morning without any evaluation or feedback on what I could do better. I truly don’t know the full reason but I just grab my stuff and leave.
This place had a high employee turnover for this position because apparently this job is hard but for me it wasn’t. In fact they were surprise that I stayed. But now I can see why, they refused to let new minds come in.
Getting fired sucks, but don’t let that discourage you from being worth it. Someone will appreciate your assets and you will flourish in the passions you pursue.
