Got fired because I attended a BLM protest, is this legal?

I'm a junior software dev for a family-owned software company. My current boss is a trust fund baby and is not afraid to share his political beliefs with us. He only got the job because his dad is an executive here, he has less experience and is not competent. He was stalking my Instagram (probably because I'm a woman) and saw my posts showing my attendance at a BLM rally. He called me into his office and showed me my own post and told me that it was a bad look for the company that an employee is endorsing “a domestic terrorist organization”, and told me that I'm terminated. Is this legal? I can't believe that this type of shit happened to me. America sucks :/
