Got fired for getting sick at work

I had a new job that was my dream job, but it was very physical and I'm middle age now. It took me until later in life to get into it because for the last twenty years no one would hire without prior related experience. Now, with the currently job market aching for employees, a company in this field was willing to hire me. Anyway, last night, doing heavy labor, I got sick and vomited at work, and had to take a half hour rest on a twelve hour shift (no breaks). I feel devastated right now, like I'd rather live in a California tent city than ever work again. Really, what's the point? There is no such thing as a dream job. All there is is ways to get money. That's all life is.

Edit: For those wondering what dream job has you go twelve hours with no breaks, it was a mining job that would have gotten better over time as they let me run heavy equipment (which I do have experience in, but different heavy equipment). Had I started it at age 25 instead of now, I'd have been fine, but back then and until about a year ago, the mines only wanted people with prior experience or connections.
