Got fired for taking a tip given to me

I am a high school graduate taking a gap year working, had been working at a cafe for nearly 2 months (which is coincidentally my test period). It was my first proper job, and this really shocked me. The owner was trying to scare me through threats of reporting me to the police for theft. I wasn't enjoying the work environment anyways but was just scared to quit myself. Don't know the reason I'm writing this, probably just to let out steam.
