So several years ago I was working for a pretty popular grocery store chain in the deli department. And on the way to work one day I got in a car accident. It was a fender bender though my car was totaled. I called my job telling them I couldn’t come in to work because I was in an accident and I had to go to the hospital to get checked out.
My manager had the audacity to say “so when are you coming in today?” Um I’m not and I told her so and then she complains to me about how she was short staffed and how inconvenient it was for her. I’m like yeah it’s inconvenient for me too since I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT.
Pretty sure I only avoided a write up because of the union but I quit soon after.
