Seriously. I got hired a while ago and they told me they were really short staffed. Other employees said they just found other jobs. Bit of a red flag but the pay was good and they cover milage.
Then this happened. I got pulled in and told that someone was mad about how much I was making. All I said to anyone was that I'm glad the firm pays overtime. They told me it was company policy to not discuss wages. I informed them that was against federal law and they should revise it before they get in trouble.
Cut to them saying they outsource HR and don't believe me. I send them links to the laws.
I honestly don't think I want to work at an auditing firm that doesn't know federal law, but I need the experience. Can't believe this is actually a thing in financial work.
