To attend my daughter's event at school. I have to go in early today and tomorrow to make up for leaving early. I don't care about the 35bucks I'll be missing on my check. Also I work harder than any of the other 200+ employees and was sweating my ass off at 7am in 30 degree weather yesterday while everyone else was sitting at their desks in their climate controlled offices. Working for the state was a bad decision and I regret it. I just found out also that every hourly employee working for the state can get food stamps because the pay is a joke. Yeah, the benefits are good but I feel like they are there to keep the poor healthy . Benefits don't pay rent or utility bills.
