guilt about leaving once shift is over

I work as a dishwasher at a fairly popular restaurant for about 6.5 hours with no breaks, and am always exhausted by the end of my shift. Every once in a while, there's no one to pick up the next shift, and a cook usually ends up having to take over when I leave. All the cooks are very friendly with me, and I always feel extremely guilty leaving when my shift is over, even though I know it's not my fault that there isn't anyone available. Have any of you of you dealt with this, and are there any ways of coping with it?
