Essentially they hired two of us as assistant managers, I 'won' so they gave me the manager role…with no pay increase and kept my assistant as the guy clearly pissed that I got the job. It was covid so I was desperate, so I tried to stick it out.. lasted two shifts and after an awful night got on my car and drove the fuck home. They called me my whole way home. Never looked back. Fuck that.
