I work remotely— had a meeting today called “Verint Kickoff”. It was an informative meeting letting us know that at the end up September they are rolling out a “Productivity Software” and we were assured it isn't to watch us. They kept telling us over and over again they aren't doing this to spy on us it's to help up and our Supervisors. They also couldn't really even tell us what it does besides see how long we spend in our email or other programs. They do know they can't (or won't) be looking at our screens and seeing our chats and emails and such. I'm still livid– I don't want to be nannied all day.
Is this the new thing that ruins remote work? Tracking software?!?
