Antiwork

Had a Zoom Interview with the person who would be my future sales manager, and he seemed super stressed and overworked. Tells me, honestly, that the job’s a grind and people drop out all the time because there are too many expectations regarding daily, weekly, monthly activities/goals.

It pays quite well, but not as much as other potential jobs in this field. Why would I want to work for him? He, was a nice enough guy, but he literally looked like he was on the verge of a heart attack or panic attack. He's been on the job for less than a year and he looks defeated. And he's around 30-35 years old and should be in the prime of his life. Is any pay worth that amount of stress? Were humans made to experience these levels of stress, each day, just to have a home and food? Also, if, by his own admission, the requirements of the job are too stressful for everyone, why not just reduce the requirments of the job, and let people breathe a little bit?
