Got this job as was promised massive working hours and a great pay scale compared to my past work at a higher level of management.
What happened was not as promised. Was working weekends and then getting days off during the week to cut hours off ending up with minus for starting the week. We worked our asses off to get work done and we're endlessly harassed by the boss but still kept working. About 6 weeks ago the bosses friend started working with us. Now let me tell you this guy is a douche of massive proportions. Endless arguments and harassment, given all available overtime and choice of jobs. Playing music from 6am until midnight in the work accomodation(I didn't live there but the other guys told me).
I handed in my notice two weeks ago and the boss flipped. Sending me countless abusive emails threatening me physically and also to Dock my pay. I went to the owner and informed her of what was going on, I had another job I was leaving for and she doesn't give a shit. She said to stay until end of July and nothing will be taken from my pay cheque. I informed her of the legality of this and she didn't seem to care. I told her I'm seeking legal advice and would return to work on the Monday and to please speak to the supervisor about the level of harassment we are receiving because its becoming intolerable at best.
Come into work today and have a spy recorder app on my phone. The boss calls me into his office. Threatening me, screaming all sorts of stuff saying my life will now be hell until I leave because I sought a lawyer. I record all of it. Today I'm not going back. I have a dream job lined up with a great company and great people so fuck this guy.
This was in norway does anyone know if I can do anything about this? I spoke to the arbeidstilsynet and it doesn't seem like someone who isn't norwegian can do anything?
