A Texas employer failed to pay its employees nearly $900,000 in tips and overtime pay, according to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division.
The North Texas restaurant Roanoke Hard Eight BBQ owed its employees all their tips and hourly managers weren’t paid the correct time and a half rate for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek.
This is at one particular store, about 20 minutes for me.
I hope that the Dept of Labor refers this case to the IRS. That money went somewhere. So let’s make sure where it went was properly declared as income.

If you live in Texas, I think most people think Hard 8 BBQ is mediocre-to-ok at best. A good reason to avoid them.
