I get it, belligerent opinions coming from boomers and other bullshit comes up a lot online and in real life. It's super shitty and tiring to see.
But not everyone in that age bracket is like that, and the only people that benefit from us being divided are the people that want the system to be this way. FTR that's not some misguided uncle on Facebook.
I think, and I know it will be a super unpopular opinion, that we should try to avoid using broad brushstrokes on people based on their age. A lot of these people really didn't want for something like this to happen, nor did they even understand it was heading down this path when it was happening. They might not even fully understand the issue as of yet, and maybe part of that is how we can be hostile towards them online where the relevant info tends to be.
When we're just this buzzing hornets nest to someone based on their age- or anything that differentiates them from us, it can scare them off.
We're better off united, imo. If it would make even a small difference, I think it's worth because all those small things add up.
Not necessarily saying stop blasting people for being idiots that refuse to be better, just reconsider the wide brushstrokes imo.
