Not sure if this belongs here but it’s been bugging me all day lol
I wear a baseball cap to work (fitted or SnapBacks) as does my boss and a few other people in a different department.
We hired a new guy back in September who doesn’t wear a hat but with the cold weather he came to work the other day wearing a Carhartt beanie and my boss lost his shit. I’m sitting here thinking “damn I was going to start rocking one soon too,” but I guess I’m not. His whole reasoning was “it’s unprofessional” his one and only reason.
My question is…how? Maybe if we were in a corporate setting..but we’re not. I work at a truck shop. People can shoot the shit and drop F bombs with or in front of customers but my man’s beanie is “unprofessional?”
Someone for the love of God give me an answer.
I guess this could fit here because they’re knit picking over crazy shit and for that reason I am growing my beard out pretty long in hope they say something so I can tell them to shove it.
