Where I work we are expected to come in on Sunday, for no holiday pay on Easter. We are not allowed to call in, even though our boss is taking the day off as a vacation day. He is also well aware that we are planning on not coming in regardless, which is why he’s threatening us all with “consequential action” if we don’t come in.
Am I being unreasonable? I didn’t know Easter wasn’t a federal holiday. But we still all have plans with our families and had no idea we are expected to come in. I feel like I’m being bullied into not spending time with my family, which I rarely get to spend time with as it is.
