The experience and future of a 20 year old in the world of work

Hi guys. My friend recommended this space to me and it is very nice(he is in the same situation too). I'm from 2001 and I'm 20 years old. Even as a child I was worried because there is no work and Italy (I live in Italy) is not a country for young people. I continue to work for free and companies treat badly and superficially. I see no future and all my friends find work for their dad or uncle. I am now working on an internship and towards the summer I will work with my father (maybe), but only because my father has excellent relations with the company and I have already done some jobs for them before the covid. I'll take that money for some investments and to get away as soon as possible. If it weren't for my dad what would I do? Still unpaid internships? A…

A few days ago my mom told me that two friends of some of her colleagues at work are looking for young guys “who want to work and get involved”, obviously for free. My mom also got pissed off because I told her “I'm tired of working for free and doing underpaid internships” and she didn't take it well because she said “So what do you want to do for your future?” “Look, after 6 months they always take boys”.

By now in Italy if you do not work for free or underpaid you are “young person who does not want to commit”. Sometimes people seem to pride themselves on working for free to show that “they are strong” and “hard workers”.

So finished this “free work”, I will have to go and do more “free work”. when do i start earning?

I've always had the dream of escaping for my personal growth and because I don't see a future in Italy. The wages are low, we young people do not get paid or we get paid 300/500 euros and the cost of living is very high. Honestly I would like to escape to Finland (mostly), Norway or Germany, but I have read on reddit and seen on youtube that unfortunately it is difficult to find work there too, especially if you don't know the language.

I do not know what to do.

I ask for advice of all kinds from people who have experience and from people who have had my situation.

I would like only two things: 1) Have free time 2) A salary that makes me live alone without being fixed with prices and low cost products. Point. But it seems impossible.

Last:

-Sometimes I get job offers because I left my email at the old school and I always get job offers for free 6/12 months but with free lunch. This is the best they offer you.

-The company where I'm working keeps telling me “we are there for you, we do a lot”. because they will give me food stamps. You work for free, you wake up early, you don't have any breaks but they “do a lot for you”.
