Have you ever walked out of an interview?

I did for the first time today. It was for a restaurant. When I got in, an employee walked me over to the hiring manager, a lady who was having some kind of meeting with another manager. I introduced myself and extended my hand, but she made a “shoo” motion with her hand and said, “Have a seat over there. I'll be over there in a minute.” First of all, don't shoo me. I'm not a housefly. Second of all, don't treat me like a bother when you're trying to get me to work for you. But I obliged and took a seat in the dining room. She walked up to the table and I got out of my seat to introduce myself again and offer another handshake. This lady walked by me and said me, “I'll be right back,” without even mentioning her name or anything. I don't know…

I did for the first time today. It was for a restaurant. When I got in, an employee walked me over to the hiring manager, a lady who was having some kind of meeting with another manager. I introduced myself and extended my hand, but she made a “shoo” motion with her hand and said, “Have a seat over there. I'll be over there in a minute.”

First of all, don't shoo me.

I don't know what “right back” means where she's from because I waited 20 minutes for this lady before deciding to bounce. I don't drive and I don't live nearby, so I was pretty irritated that she not only wasted my time, but my fiancé's time and gas. But I'm not so desperate for work that I'm gonna let her disregard me not once, but twice, and then leave me waiting for 20 whole minutes. If I had left her waiting for 20 minutes, I'm sure she would have had something to say.

In 20 years of working, I've never walked out of an interview before. Girl, bye.
