Yesterday she texted me that she would call me at 11am today for a phone interview. A bit after 11:30am when I had still heard nothing I decided to call the number she texted me from, but the problem was it was a general number for the employment agency(?) neatest location and a robot answered asking me to pick one of four options, none of which applied to me. I tried pressing 1 in hopes of talking to someone to help me find a way to reach her but after getting to a robot voice dead end I gave up on that. I looked up the company online and tried to find a different number where I could talk to an actual human, but couldn’t find anything. I called that number back and this time pressed 2 (it was supposed to be if you needed to talk to someone about an assignment or something, but oh well) and luckily after 1 or 2 robot redirects it took me to an actual human. I told him my situation and the name of the lady who was supposed to interview me. He tried calling her but she didn’t respond, said the line was busy. He sent her a message about me and redirected me to her number so I could leave her a voicemail. I left her one saying that we were having an interview at 11am and that I was really interested in the job (I read the name of the listing) and asked if she could call me at my number as soon as she could. It’s 12:14pm now and I’m still waiting.
Is this normal for interviewers to forget or blow off interviews without telling you? How long should I wait for her to call me before giving up on waiting and going to bed? (I didn’t sleep last night as I got home around 5am and am getting pretty tired and would like a nap lol.)
Update: it’s 12:23pm and she just texted me asking if we could reschedule for the same time tomorrow -__-. I put on my happy text persona and said “Okay, no problem! Talk to you tomorrow”
