Having time off requests denied is humiliating

Even requesting time off is so upsetting as it feels like requesting freedom in my own life. School was nice because there were long, built in breaks that gave us a ton of freedom Having to ask my bosses for the chance to be free for a week for the rest of my life is such a depressing idea Especially when they can deny it. People will probably call this dramatic because I’m equating employment to a lack of freedom but I really think the social contract of jobs is so backwards
