If work in the US was strictly about selling services/skills in exchange for money, we would regain some of the much needed ownership over our lives. People could move between companies and positions, take breaks between employment, decide to work part-time, etc. We wouldn't have to rely on the good grace of billionaires and their politicians to offer us limited time off to tend to ourselves and our families.

Do you think it's a coincidence that healthcare/insurance/drug prices have been the areas most resistant to any change in this country? Even evil oil companies are evolving toward green technology. The SEC is moving toward more transparency in financial markets. Obama's Public Option was very quickly removed from the table – is it time to make that happen?
