Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong sub.
I'm to be tapped as a construction foreman (for context, I'm a 3rd year electrician in a hyper specialized field with 10 years of experiance on the more difficult end of things of the industry) It'll be my first time as foreman and it's a departure from what I do everyday, there will be a rather sharp learning and relearning curve but I'm quite capable of taking this on, and management seems to agree throughly. That said, I'm hoping for a $10 an hour bump. This would put me in just a touch less then some other foreman (some of which are journeymen, others have never been electricians, most haven't been in the industry as long as me) which I think would be fair. I'm wondering if there is any advice for:
1) getting my $10 an hour overall with little fight.
2) getting it right off the hop even though I'll be shadowing for about a month before I'm left to fend for myself.
3) I have a couple other perks I'm hoping to get but this $10 an hour is one I'm super rigid about and would be okay to suffer the others
Thanks in advance!
