I need help. I can't give out too much information due to privacy and on going case, but I need information on loss prevention policy for Save-a-Lot. My friend (a public defender) has a client who allegedly stole $20 of meat and got beaten so badly. She was trying to feed her hungry grandchildren. The manager and employees beat her until the police came, and then police is charging her with theft and resisting arrest (she needed an ambulance, not handcuffs.) Is there ANY Save-A-Lot employees that can tell me the policy on loss prevention? Is this allowed?
And remember, if you see someone stealing- no you didn't. Especially food!
