I've been seeing more and more companies auto send an assessment to me whenever I apply for a job. I think it's bullshit to ask for my time without a human every reaching out first. Here's my standard response:
“Thank you for reaching out. In an effort to maximize efficiency and for the sake of time-management, I don't take any assessments before first speaking to a company recruiter to ensure that it would be a mutually good fit. If you're interested in setting up a quick screening call I'd be more than happy to accommodate. Thanks again for your time.”
Note: I have a job already and understand this response might be a 'luxury' others don't have when job hunting. No one has responded to my message so far.
