Hey white collar crowd? You really need to learn how the hourly work environment operates

This is regarding a post I saw on here recently. Someone left a survey for a fast food chain saying they need to give the guy at checkout a raise, then they came back a while later and the guy was gone. Stop. Fucking. Doing. This. Stop stroking your egos and thinking you're our knight in shining armor come to save us from our own cowardice to just ask for a raise! You are literally getting people fired for this. You know what happens when you mention a worker by name? Even if the review is glowing? Disciplinary action. Doesn't matter what. They see your name in there? Black mark. Happened to me all the time. Happened to my coworkers. And in this case? I guaran-goddamn-tee you that guy got fired. Another user made a great point about this: bringing up wages in your review reads that the worker in…

Stop. Fucking. Doing.

Another user made a great point about this: bringing up wages in your review reads that the worker in question was complaining about their wages, because why else would a customer bring this up? That's how management thinks. Doesn't matter if they were or not, that's how it's going to be read.

Like, I don't know if yall just… don't know, but without a union, we do not have the option to negotiate our salary, or be made an exception over our coworkers. That's a white collar privilege, full stop.

So quit trying to be saviors, and if you can't help yourself, then for the love of god at least have the foresight to do it anonymously. Quit mentioning workers by name. Your little white knight charade is fucking us. And if you actually give a shit as much as you claim to in your reviews? Maybe instead consider alchemizing that into a $20 bill. That does a hell of a lot more for someone slaving away in these shit jobs than your twitter clout clap back review will ever do.

Edit: I truly want to thank everyone for showing their true colors <3 You are the exact asshole I'm talking about in this post, and I love that all it takes is one little "underling" to piss you off and show how you really feel about the most essential workers. Take a good long look at yourselves, dears, this movement doesn't go anywhere with selective solidarity. If you can't handle one person calling you out for your ego, then you sure as shit have no place in this movement. I know you all prefer to browse this sub for your funny little memes and feel good stories, but that's not reality. Grow up and for the sake of us all, get some perspective.
