Im a nurse and I just move to work at this new job at Kaiser and there is no help here. just to give you an idea what Im putting up with. I get no help no cna or break nurse. I get 4 heavy patients and a new admit which is a process in itself. so I gotta get vitals and blood sugar checks night and morning for all 5 of my patients. Lots of meds spread throughout the night for all my patients which sucks cause I can't bundle the care. every 2 hour Turns, take patients to bathroom, gown in and out for certain patients, extra meds they want. Gotta chart alot like every hour and 2 hours for certain things on my patients. sounds alot for 1 patient now imagine 5 of them.
Im practically on my feet for 12 hours. Its too much work. Knees and feet hurting. I am only 31 year old guy and fit. I feel tired. I need to figure out my escape plan cause I won't be able to last long here. if you want a pension you gotta put up with it for 15 years. I have only been here for 2 months and I don't see it happening.
