I work for a job platform specific to hourly jobs, but we're trying to bridge hourly work with social media to provide hourly workers more of a space to find the right jobs w the right environment for them. We basically want to create a world where hourly workers have everything they need to find work that isn't awful, and a way to communicate with locals in their area to help them into a better job, or talk about what makes them boil about their current.
I'm one of the leaders of building out the app…2010-2019 I used to waitress, cocktail waitress, bartend, make pizza, all the above. What about an app could bring a social aspect to hourly work? I see in this thread you all talk about negative experiences, things you wish you knew before starting the job, etc.
Maybe you all can help me, what can an app do to make hourly work better? How can it help you avoid the bad jobs and find the good ones? What are other job boards missing?
