hours cut because they didn’t want to give me a break.

I (19f) was scheduled for a 5 hour 15 minute shift at my low level retail job. After 5 hours, we are required to take a lunch. Manager asked me if I wanted to extend to 8 (full day) so then I could “have a reason to take a break.” I declined because I don’t change my schedule day of and don’t work full days due to chronic pain. I’m now losing 20 minutes of pay so they don’t have to give me a lunch break. I know it’s not a lot and I’m not terribly upset about it, but I thought y’all would enjoy this. Why would they schedule like this?
