Long story short the manager used me (on my lower position) to manage new staff, train them, left me working 2 positions for half a year alone before getting new staff, allowed super toxic atmosphere in the office and many more shitty things.
I finally snapped and provided them with a notice. My manager tried to extend it because I allowed him to have a conversation with me about hybrid working (but I disclosed in that verbal conversation that my final notice day remains). I had an email and letter handed over so I sent that email to HR stating that I will not accept notice period extension. But they just told me they will need to speak to my manager????? Useless.
At this point the atmosphere is really rough and I want nothing but to leave. Can I actually go to GP and ask for a stress sick note to avoid my last 2 weeks of notice period? I have been complaining to them about tension headaches ever since I entered that company.
Also they are pretty much fucked with no trained staff in a pretty niche job.
