How can i make my employer replace our uniforms faster?

long story short i work for local government and we have to wear a specific shirt they provide to distinguish us from the general public, when i first started i only got 2 shirts which were used and washed, they say they have new stuff on order but its been months since we heard anything, is there anything i can do to speed up this process or just wear my own clothes? i dont like feeling dirty wearing the same old worn out shirts everyday
