How can we convince people that working from home is good?

We have a strong push to getting people back to the office. With 1 to 2 hour commutes why can't companies see this is time wasted? Never mind exposure to bugs, viruses, crime, general human unpleasantness. The second issue is we have huge turnover. Part of this due to the push to go back to offices. This leads to significant pressure on the people still left behind. Which leads to more people leaving. And …. rational people see the cycle. But no, it's more important to get people into offices to “build a sense of community “. I call bullshit. It's a lack of trust.
