The consequences of capitalism are increasing. Companies are forcing their workers to give up more and more of their time so that the companies can stay competitive with each other. Whichever company is more ruthless wins.
Workers are forced to build a façade (see LinkedIn posts about how everyone loves their job) and maintain that façade (wear make-up, buy business clothes, drive the “right” kind of car) in order to stay in their positions.
As jobs become more stressful, it's harder and harder to recover after a day of work.
